The Associate Director shares responsibility for program development, fundraising, and the daily operations of the Hall Center.
Dr. Sarah Bishop accepted the position of Interim Associate Director in December of 2017 and the position of Associate Director in July of 2018. Previously, Sarah was the Chief Communications Officer at the Lawrence Arts Center overseeing marketing, fundraising, grant writing, and external communications. Sarah has also worked as the grant professional at Johnson County Community College and, in 2012-2013, as a grant development research assistant at the Hall Center. Sarah has published research on the countercultural writers of the 1960s and has edited a number of academic books on film and media studies. Sarah has her B.A. in English literature, graduating with honors, magna cum laude, and Phi Beta Kappa from Northwestern University, and her Ph.D. in 20th Century American Literature and Film from the University of Virginia.
