Facility Use & Co-Sponsorship Requests

The Hall Center for the Humanities is a designated research center at the University of Kansas with purpose-built facilities dedicated to the support of research in the humanities, arts, and social sciences, and the dissemination of that research to a broader public.

Rental: Center facilities are available on a rental basis to Hall Center affiliated groups and organizations whose proposed activity is consistent with the Center’s purpose. Facility descriptions and associated costs are available on our Facilities and Parking page.

Facilities & Co-Sponsorship Requests: In an effort to formalize the process of requesting co-sponsorships and the use of the Hall Center facilities, we are instituting new policies and procedures to help ensure the effective use of our limited staffing and resources, and increase transparency. Beginning with the 25-26 academic year, all requests for co-sponsorship and/or use of Hall Center facilities must be submitted via a NEW REQUEST FORM.

Requests for co-sponsorship will be considered on a rolling basis, until funds for each semester are exhausted. Requests for fall semester facility use must be received by July 1. Requests for spring semester facility use must be received by November 1. Decisions will, generally, be made after the deadlines. Limited exceptions may be granted for events requiring a long lead time.
