Funding Resources

The Opportunities Lists on this page are compiled and updated annually each summer by the Research & Grant Development Office (RGDO). These downloadable PDF documents are intended to help Scholars identify resources to help fund their work. No list is exhaustive. Scholars should visit the websites of any agencies of interest to learn current deadlines and note any changes to requirements since the list was last updated

For further possibilities, Scholars should also search Pivot, the most comprehensive online database of funding sources available. Access is free with a KU email account.

  • To get started, go to the Pivot registration page, click on “Use Email Address/Create Password,” fill out the short information form (name, institutional email, password, and affiliated member institution, which is University of Kansas), click the consent button, click the “not a robot box,” and click create your account.

  • After that, go to the Pivot login page, add the email and pivot password.

  • When logging in after you register, use your personal log-in information instead of selecting the Institution option. Ignore the banner along the top that says you don’t have access—that is Pivot's way of saying you haven’t logged in yet.

RGDO staff are available to consult about funding needs and resources, and we encourage you to email rgdo@ku.edu for an appointment.
