Hall Center Resident Faculty Fellowship – Application Instructions
Deadline: Monday, November 11, 2024 11:59pm
OVERVIEW
The Hall Center's Resident Faculty Fellowships provide one semester of release time from teaching and service, taken in the Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 semester, so that awardees can focus entirely on research or creative work and scholarly engagement.
Resident Fellows are expected to attend regular seminars throughout the academic year of residency at which fellows discuss their pre-circulated work-in-progress. Each resident fellow also gives a public talk about their work during residency and the other fellows are expected to attend these events.
Fellows receive up to $1,000 in reimbursement for project-related expenses they incur during the fellowship year and an office at the Hall Center. The award also makes funding available to the fellow's department to assist in the cost of a replacement teaching appointment for the residency semester.
Applications from the Arts and Social Sciences are welcome, but applicants must demonstrate the ways in which their project utilizes themes and methodologies from the humanities.
